LOVE AND ANGER IN MOTION

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.  Ps 45:7

There is a place for both love and anger. Angry people may have nothing they love, but people with loves by nature and necessity have anger.

A good parent jealously guards their beloved children. They will act in anger toward those who would harm them. We discover how much the mother bear loves her cubs by trying to harm them. We discover how much a patriot loves their nation when their country is attacked.

If you want Anointed Joy get an upgrade in your love for righteousness and hatred for wickedness.

Many counsel, Christians should not be angry about the “results” of the election or of the new policies of those now in the Whitehouse. “We should live in peace and go on.” I thoroughly, adamantly disagree! We must be more loving, angrier, and more active than ever! We must add fuel to the bonfire of zeal!

 

The quality of our anger:

Anger birth out of God’s throbbing heart of love and compassion

Anger God-breathed and hopeful

Anger jealous for justice, safety, security and the welfare of loved ones

Anger visionary and constructive, aiming for a better future

Anger boundaried by integrity and the rule of law

Anger devoid of fear, desperation, rashness, bitterness, resentment, and vindictiveness.

 

Scripture says “Be angry but sin not.” We remember, “The wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Only a just, heaven-born anger, bathed in oceans of compassionate love for friends and enemies can be effective in our fight. We must have more refined anger, not for fuming but for profitable action!

 

COMPROMISE WITH A THIEF?

Let’s say a thief comes to your home and steals your appliances, your clothes and food. You witness the theft. The thief later returns to you and says, “Now that I have half of your belongings, let’s say we live in peace.” How would you answer him when you know his goal is to steal everything you have, your identity, your life and the lives of your family? 

American Revolutionary War history reveals the great indignation the colonies had over abuses they patiently endured. You read a hint of them in the Declaration of Independence. Their patience was laudable! They endured and petitioned repeatedly till they could be patient no more.

It would be appalling to stop being angry at abuse, corruption and injustice, as those dark powers slice through American blood vessels!

When Mr. Obama became President Rush Limbaugh said he hoped Mr. Obama would fail. On one occasion he said, “So I shamelessly say, no, I want him to fail, if his agenda is a far-left collectivism, some people say socialism, as a conservative heartfelt, deeply, why would I want socialism to succeed?”

Certainly, the socialist forces in America, if honest, would say out loud that they wish our American free enterprise system and its freedoms would fail. How can there be union with Free Enterprise and Communism? This di-vision cannot be reconciled.

 

USERPATION

Mr. Joe Biden is sitting in the White House. How am I praying for Mr. Biden?

You may have a vague memory of this, but 2000 people signed affidavits testifying of voting irregularities. Computer forensic experts and statistical analysts demonstrated measurable manipulations in the election. The courts declined  to accept cases, let alone hear the evidence.

Our weak apologetic “conservatives” were accused of worshiping President Trump. Many cowed, saying “Not only do we not worship Donald Trump, we will act like he never existed. We will forget him to prove to you we don’t worship him.” Our sorry, short-term American memory has been picked clean by the birds of the air.

 

PRAYING FOR TWO PRESIDENTS

Here’s how I am praying for Mr. Joe Biden.

Absalom by plotting and coup usurped David’s throne.  2 Sam 15

Athaliah by treachery and murder usurped the throne.  2 Kings 11

I will pray for Mr. Biden as I would pray for interlopers like Absalom and Athaliah. I pray he and his collaborators will quickly be exposed, removed from office and come to justice.

I pray that President Trump may be empowered miraculously with Heaven’s virtues to fulfill his anointed mission to make America Great Again. That America may surpass any greatness she has formerly had, and do so with the heart and hand of Christ Jesus the King over all earthly kings!

 

WILL YOU MAKE MY DECLARATION YOUR OWN?

I will implore our Heavenly Father for His adjudications. I will pray that the swamp will be dredged and come to judgment in government, media, business and education!

I will foil diabolical political powers from achieving their goal of destroying the constitution. I will work to demolishing the edicts, executive orders and legislations of corruption.

I will pray for, and see, the greatest wash of the Spirit of Jesus to inundate our country with staggering holy Spirit conviction, the fear of the Lord, and knowledge of Christ’s mercies. The United States will be a lighthouse nation filled with liberty under just laws, and our government will be penetrated by Heaven’s high Kingdom government working itself into human hearts.

My prayers will be guided by seeing the invisible wonders of my Christ! My attitude in prayer will be mixed with laughter, hope and the anticipation of God’s kingdom penetration and manifestation!

My prayers don’t stop with earthly crowns, prime ministers and presidents. I’m part of something transcendently, cosmically huge. I will use the adage, “Pray big or go home,” believing “You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.”

 

FUELING ACTION WITH BOILING LOVE AND ANGER

“Zeal for Thy house shall consume me.”

I am not under circumstances but a creator of circumstances. I am an Ambassador, a change agent of heaven.

I will do more than wait for the next elections. America can be dismantled and demolished irreparably in that time. I am acting now.

I will labor with others to see justice and correction in the electoral process.

I will refresh American minds of the history of our foundations.

I will vigorously exercise my constitutional freedoms. I will defy those who try to steal them.

I will take part in mass grass-roots protests and political movements against unrighteous laws and decrees. I will use every legal means to frustrate totalitarian edicts.  

I will support those in government working to preserve our constitution.

I will be an actor locally and nationally.

 

The day after Mr. Biden stole office I wrote the Whitehouse in response to backward and destructive executive orders. I will do more writing to people in authority this year.

I am starting to get to know the leaders of my own city and county to see what kind of influence I can bring. Here are places you can go to get out of the armchair.

A woman has been charged with starting 5 Police Cars in Seattle on fire. I helped buy those Police Cars so it’s rather irritating to have them destroyed. 

The picture of this woman reminds me of Proverbs 14:1. “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” America cannot be overcome by external enemies but she can commit suicide.

I wish the news were capable of making a distinction between legitimate protesters and lawless hoodlums. How difficult can it be to distinguish between them?

Pam and I were in bed preparing for sleep. She had beaten me to the pillow. I was reading a book with a light beside me. I put the book down and looked across the room to the door and ceiling. Then I had a vision.

I saw an old clay bowl full of blood. Then a leafy branch was being dipped into it. The bloody branch painted the door jams and lentil. As I was seeing this vision I assumed Pam had fallen asleep. Then she began to pray, “Lord, may You take the blood and put it upon our doorpost.“ Pretty remarkable! The experience left an impression.

“Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.”  Ex 12:22

God told Israel to put the blood on the doorposts. Keeping it in a bowl was not enough. The angel of death would need to see the blood applied on the posts in order to pass over.

       We apply ointment to aching muscles.

       We apply math formulas to build.

       We apply action to diet and exercise plans.

       The blood applied makes all the difference!

We should meditate daily on the Passion and Victory of our Lord! Pam and I have been sharing communion daily. I touch our home’s door frames and affirm the covering of our Lord’s blood. Do you have ways to remind yourselves of Christ’s atoning blood?

In my early days as a believer many preachers talked about the blood of the Lord Jesus. In recent decades we hear less of our ruby-red hope. Of course, if you wish to study the potency of Christ’s blood there is a treasury of Scripture. Here are a few clips from Hebrews for your fortification.

Heb 9:11-14 But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Heb 10:19-22 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Heb 12:24 …to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Heb 13:12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

Heb 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

May His Spirit show us what applications to make today of His cleansing, protective, life-giving blood so we may rest safe and secure in Yeshua!!!

Imagine this preposterous dialogue with Jesus.

Jesus: There has been a change of plans. We are not bringing heaven to earth.

Saints: But Lord, we have prayed 2000 years for heaven to prevail upon the earth!

Jesus: It was too big a project to tackle. The sinfulness of men and demons is too great.

Saints: What are we going to do?

Jesus: We had planned for the whole earth to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God and that all the nations would become my disciples. But it just seems too difficult.

Saints: But Lord, what now?

Jesus: We are moving to plan B.

Saints: Plan B?

Jesus: Heaven on earth is too much for us to pull off. We are going to evacuate the earth and all of us will go to live in heaven.

Saints: Lord, but what about the earth? What will become of it?

Jesus:  We are aborting our plans to redeem the earth. We will let the earth rot and rust.

Please excuse me for presenting such an imbecilic and inane dialogue! Nothing could be farther from the truth! What our Lord begins, He finishes! What our Lord promises, He fulfills and brings to completion! 

 God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?   Numbers 23:19

We will get the answer to our persistent 2000-year-old prayer, “Your Kingdom come on our planet, just as it prevails in the highest heaven!” Jesus did not ask us to pray for his Kingdom on earth in vain. He did not ask us to be ambassadors, emissaries, and conduits of Heaven to terminate in frustration. The purposes and delights of the Mighty One, the Creator of heaven and earth will be thoroughly realized. He is the Beginning and He is the End! What our Lord begins, He completes!

Our God, who conceived the earth, its plants and creatures, knows how to bring the seed to maturity and fruit! Even with the stumbles and corruptions of we children of Adam, His pleasures will be realized. The squeaking of men and demons will not inhibit fulfillment, but will be found lending themselves to the glory of God. Pharaoh’s resistance only made God’s power more evident!

Is the Kingdom on earth an impossible dream? Why is it that within our hearts there is such a yearning for some kind of brave new world, a new world order, Shangri-La, paradise, Utopia –  garden of Eden? What did Solomon mean when he said, “He has put eternity in their hearts”? There is a longing for something enduring and perfect in every human heart; a higher, refined, transcendent place of existence.

Jesus coached us to Pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done one earth.”

It means the first commission given mankind is not scrapped, tabled, or aborted.

Our super-progenitors, Adam and Eve, were not just simply given a garden to enjoy, and vegetation to savor. They were given a mission, a task, a grand project! “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number: fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”   Gen 1:28

The plan was to expand the garden! As Adam and Eve’s generations multiplied the garden was to be expanded until their progressive generations cultivated the whole planet into a garden paradise.  The desire of God was to see the entire earth, every square inch saturated in abundance, nurtured into lush fruitfulness. They were to cultivate and expand the awareness and knowledge of the glory of God!

As the garden was expanded, the grapes vine was to be trained to climb the trellis, the ox was to be trained to pull the plow, and the children were to be trained to live in awareness of the Lord’s holy companionship, to the uttermost boundaries!

The original great commission seemed to bite the dust, as Adam and Eve and their generations, on by one, did the same.

We were created from dust.

We return to dust.

But the Redeemer has a plan

To restore us from the dust again,

So, we may complete the first great commission.

Only the hardest heart can witness the grief in Gaza over the loss of loved ones and be unmoved. On the other hand, how is it possible to blame Israel for seeking to protect its people from constant harassment by terrorists?

Back in 2005 Israel gave up the Gaza strip. It was obvious to us that this gift to the Palestinians would result in war. Since 2005 Hamas has shot into Israel 9300 missiles. The people of southern Israel have had frequent visits to the bunkers seeking protection. Rather noisome, rather niggling.

I have never heard of a nation with such restraint! How many missiles would the United States tolerate from Canada before we said, “That’s enough!” What if the international community told the US to be patient with Canada, show restraint and have a peace agreement even though we had to absorb rockets every day?

My image of the situation is that of a little guy picking on a big guy. The little guy pokes the big guy repeatedly with a sharp stick, slaps the big guy repetitively and keeps shouting, “I’m going to kill you!” The big guy stands day and night and night and day being patient with the harassment. He says, “Please stop! I gave you the land you are standing on so you would stop bothering me, now you are troubling me more than ever!”

You know the end of the story. The big guy has enough, pulls back and flattens the little guy! The problem is that the moment the big guy swings at the little guy the world press is there to take pictures! The thousands of pesky rockets harassing Israel never got to press.

It may be noteworthy to tell you how the two rivals behave.

“Israel uses its weapons to protect their people. Hamas uses their people (as human shields) to protect their weapons.” Another lense to the situation is to ask these questions: If Israel alone was armed and Fatah and Hamas had no weapons what would happen? Peace! If Israel had no arms but their enemies did what would happen? The genocide of Israel.

Hamas launches their rockets hoping to kill and maim civilians. Israel is scrupulous about protecting civilians.  Picture this: Before Israel bombs a house they make a phone call saying, “In a few moments we are going to bomb this home. You need to get out of the house immediately.” They will also send a small explosive bomb over the top of the home to warn that a big one is following and it is time to get out! How many enemies give warnings like this? They drop leaflets warning to move out of areas where there will be attacks. Israel often has spotters saying to hold off on targets because civilians are around the building. Remember, Hamas sends off missiles praying to Allah that they will find the blood of Jews.
